    The NSF Seafood Engine in New England is an emerging innovation ecosystem focused on enhancing the blue economy. The Engine brings together premier R&D universities and educational institutions; industry, economic development, and community organizations; and government agencies to stimulate transformative technological innovation across the seafood supply chain. In doing so, the Engine aims to advance competitiveness, profitability, and workforce development jointly in the U.S. seafood industry and blue tech sector, regionally and nationally.

    • Chief Operating Officer The COO drives operational excellence and robust financial management across a diverse portfolio of projects that include use-inspired and industry driven research, technology transfer, workforce preparedness, and regional engagement.
    • Chief Innovation Officer The CIO leads the formation, evolution, and sustainability of the Engine innovation ecosystem, understanding and shaping its constituent components and integrating them into a more cohesive whole. A particular focus will be on deeper engagement with the blue tech sector, associated investor community, and supporting institutions, organizations, agencies, and programs.
    • Managing Director The Managing Director plays a leadership role in managing, evolving, and growing the innovation ecosystem. This will involve both logistical and strategic duties needed to organize people, projects, and activities within the Engine partnership; coordinate and collaborate with partners at NSF, fellow Engines, and beyond; and shape the evolution and long-term vision of the Engine.
    • Communications Manager The Communications Manager develops effective messaging, connects with key audiences, collaborates with partners, and grows the visibility of the Engine.
    • Finance Manager The Finance Manager oversees financial agreements, transactions, reporting, and related matters, working with fellow NERACOOS and Engine staff and external partners to ensure best practices and improve systems and performance.
